DTU leapfrogs forward in budgeting and planning with Oracle EPM

DTU has taken a major leap forward in financial planning and reporting by implementing Oracle Planning Cloud, enabling automation, real-time insights, and strong data coherence across projects and departments. In close collaboration with TheVIT, the phased rollout ensured deep integration with master data, streamlined budgeting processes, and empowered DTU to manage the solution independently. This transformation supports compliance with grant regulations, minimizes financial risk, and secures optimal resource utilization
 

We have worked with TheVIT EPM with really good results. There has been a good dialogue and cooperation about development, and we have got some solutions that suit DTU in the task of managing the university's finances right from projects to the overall finances for the university. We have been happy about the close collaboration with TheVIT EPM, which has meant that we can now largely manage the solution ourselves.

Challenge 

To meet the growing demands of financial planning and reporting across projects, institutes, and shared services, DTU needed a future-proof solution that could handle complexity at scale.

Beyond implementation, TheVIT placed strong emphasis on enablement. Through hands-on training and knowledge transfer, DTU’s internal teams were empowered to own, operate, and evolve the solution independently—ensuring long-term success and self-sufficiency.
